Katherine gained extensive experience as a mitigation specialist in Miami-Dade's Capital Litigation Unit, handling complex high-profile death penalty cases. She founded Mayer Consulting in 2012, a holistic criminal defence consulting firm specialising in fact investigation, mitigation, and jury consulting. She is the first woman in Texas to achieve board certification in criminal defence investigation (2017) and the 66th Certified Legal Investigator (CLI). Katherine is dedicated to training attorneys and investigators to raise standards in criminal defence through practical, experience-based education that integrates investigation, mitigation, and strategy.
