In October 2025, Mike LaCorte was elected Secretary General of the Internationale Kommission der Detektiv-Verbände (IKD) at the General Assembly in Bucharest.
The IKD is the sole international umbrella federation representing professional investigation associations worldwide. This strategic position allows Mike to continue his commitment to global excellence by overseeing the coordination of professional investigation associations across Europe and internationally.
In this role, Mike focuses on promoting harmonised standards and legal and ethical frameworks that strengthen trust and professional collaboration across borders. This election is a continuation of his recognised dedication to the professionalisation and accountability of the entire sector.
